I saw this blog mentioned on Melissa Ballards blog! It's called KnockOffWood. Check it out! There are tons of things I would LOVE for you to build on there...I mean that you would have SO much fun building! I am pretty sure the plans are free. Could you build us this....or this....or maybe this???? ...you know...in your spare time? :}

It's snowing...and I mean SNOWING! If this doesn't give us some snow accumulation, I will be surprised. It looks like someone is dumping out a big bag of feathers from the sky....and it's March...and I want it to be warm. We got a BIG storm in March the year that we moved here...then we got the biggest crop of apples on our tree that Fall. I wonder if the same will happen this year.?

So, I haven't mentioned this on the blog yet....or to very many people either....but we put in an offer on a house back in December. It's a short sale, so we hadn't heard anything from the sellers bank...until yesterday. I just dropped off an earnest money check to the title company today. We still don't know if the house is "ours" yet....and who knows how long it'll take until we do....but I am excited at the idea of moving into a bigger house. We'll have a million projects right off the bat....but it's been that way for us for the past 5+ years (one project after another). The house is new....but it has no landscaping done and needs an new exterior paint job. Let's hope that's all it needs right? Buying a house can be SUCH a pain....but right now I am very willing to endure it. The fact that we have a baby coming makes me not really care how quickly the sale takes place because I'd rather not be in the middle of moving and then have a newborn. Chances are, it'll happen that way huh?

Weston is stnading here by me and he's so sleepy he's nodding off. Poor boy needs his momma. Better go!

my big birthday donut

I was driving to pick Kaitlyn up from school yesterday when all of a sudden a donut sounded so good to me! I knew that I shouldn't go get some and then eat cake later....so I did what an sensible woman would do. I called Brandon with a birthday request...DONUTS instead of cake....and boy did he deliver! He came home with this...

It's called a "Texas Donut"...I guess because 'everything's bigger in Texas'? It's about the size of 4 donuts. I can honestly say that I didn't eat one whole donut yesterday....but I did eat half of this one! :)

*Thank you for all the Happy Birthday wishes...it was so fun to get phone calls almost all day long! I felt so special!*

P.S. Weston just came up to me holding a paper clip in his hand (as if it were some sort of amazing device) and said, "I am going to check if you are stupid mom". LOL!.....can I borrow that paper clip when you are done bud?

I sure hope I am not jinxing myself by saying this....but Weston has gone to sleep in his bed by himself the past two nights. Some of you probably know what a big deal that is because you have kids who stay up late, fall asleep in your bed then get carried into theirs. Or one of us will stay up with him on the couch and he will fall asleep watching TV. Either way, it gets old.

Last night, Kaitlyn went to sleep, then we put Addie to bed (she takes forever to fall asleep..."it's too noisy" "I need a band aide" "my blankets are messed up") then I put Weston in his bed. He only got out a few times. I laid down on my bed and Brandon, bless his heart was rubbing my sore sore feet. (I had gone for a walk with Addie and I didn't wear the right kind of shoes). I started coughing a little and Weston yelled from his bed, "Mom! Are you alright?" It was so sweet. I assured him that I was fine (yelled that from my bed) and told him I loved him. His little "I love you too" could melt the coldest of hearts!

Cross your fingers for me that he keeps on wanting to be a big boy and sleep in his own bed. It'll make life that much easier when Connor is born.

I turn 30 this week. For some reason that didn't feel old to me until last night. Brandon was very sneaky and threw me a party! He even got my parents and Grandpa Newbold up here with out me suspecting that they were here for anyting more than to play with our kids! (Plus, I had asked my mom to bring her sewing machine so that we could get some curtains up to hide all the stuff on the shelves in our laundry/pantry room....she told me yesterday that she wanted to tell me no because she didn't think there would be time with the party and all...but she brought it anyways...and we got the curtains up! We ended up buying some and hemming them...it was cheaper than way.....and Brandon had let me buy a big thing of ice cream Friday night knowing full well that he had two huger things of if hiden in the freezer at his mom's house!) Dawniel was in on it too. Brandon organized the whole thing which makes him the best husband ever to even think about htrowing me a party let a lone to follow through with it! I had told him while we were eating dinner Saturdy night (part of the plan to get me out of the way) that I was pretty lame for not throwing him a 30th birthday party. Now I feel a little lamer.

The cake is what made me feel old. I of course didn't know about the party (it was at Brandon's moms house) so I didn't take a camera. But to see my name on the cake with the big "Three-O" made me feel like I have been around for a long time. I know I am still a "spring chicken" so to speak....but the effects of getting older are already making themselves known! Thank goodness for make up, well structured clothing and padded support bras!
