Grrr...

My doctor appointment for today just got canceld....not by me. I really do feel bad for the lady who's having a c-section....because since my doctor does surgeries on Tuesdays...it means it was an emergency. And I know at anytime, that could be me. (sigh). But, still....right now, I am disappointed. It's been 2 weeks since my last visit...and I'd really like to hear Connor's heart beat and have that reassurance that he's okay...and as much as I dislike having to be "checked"....I would like to know if I am dilated at all.

So...I was able to get the dr's office to work me in tomorrow morning. I am hoping I am not one of those needy whiny patients who the office ladies hate to hear from. I try hard not to be...but we're getting down to the wire here!

kid-accomplishments

Mr. Weston is well on his way to being a "big boy"! Yesterday, after having a bath...I got his clothes out for him and asked him to dress himself. He came into my room and announced triumphantly, "I can dress myself!"....looking like this:

Kaitlyn and I have talked about how much help I will need from her once Connor is born. The other night, I was SO tired, wipped out, and sore. She asked what was for dinner and I told her, "I don't know, what are you making?" (totally wasn't serious). She then proceeded to make us "breakfast for dinner". This is what we had...

... plus cinnomon toast. She set the table, poured the milk and everything! We all loved it!...ecspecially me!

Little Miss Addie-girl brought be this today:

Dandelions and foxtails.

She told me that she put in the fox tails (I don't know what the real name is for those....but we call them "foxtails"...the kids love it when the stems get long. Then they tie them or tuck them into their pants and pretend to be foxes!) so that it would look like flowers for a wedding. I think it's a beautiful bouqet. She must get her talent from her Grandma Barrett!

What's for dinner???

There's a new Little Caesars in Taylor! Woohoo!!!!

If you live or have lived in a small town...then you will understand why we are excited! Any place new that comes to town is a pretty big deal! And if a new building is being built...or one that's been empty is suddenly looking like someone is going to do something with it......rumors start to fly! I found out last week that the store right next to Dollar Tree (We went there for our FHE activity the day it opened!)) would be a Little Caesers. They open today!
 I am still waiting for the rumor that we are getting a movie theater to come true....and Wal-Mart...PLEASE please please build us a store!
For now....we will glory in our $5 pizzas!

easter weekend

We had a busy, fun, tiring, uplifting weekend! It started with my parents driving up Saturday morning. We haven't spent an Easter with them since we moved here! We watched Conference...got things ready to dye eggs between sessions and then dyed eggs after the second session. Weston had fallen asleep...which kind of made things easier! The girls (my mom and I included!) had fun dying the eggs! Then, when my dad and Brandon went to Preisthood session, the rest of us went over to my mother in laws house to watch "The 10 Commandments". They were a good hour into the almost 4 hour long movie when we got there...and since we are always a big crowd when we get together (even just the girls+kids) and places to sit are at a minimum...I didn't really end up watching too much of the movie. But it was nice to get together and I think it will become a yearly tradition! Today, the kids slept until about 8a.m. and then found their Easter baskets...and hunted for eggs! Then we watched Conference while the kids played around with the toys they got. I baked 2 cakes for our Easter lunch and tried to stay focused on the talks. We started potty training Weston yesterday. He did really good...I mean, he had accidents...but that's to be expected. He took a nap in his undies and woke up dry. So...we have bagged up all the diapers and he's wearing underwear! We came up with a little way to get him to "go" on the toilet. He likes to pretend like he is a firefighter and that he has to go "put out the fire" in the toilet. So far...he's doing pretty good. We'll see how this week goes! Wish us luck! So, anyhow....we ate lunch between sessions at Shon and Pams house. The kids did their Easter egg hunt. It's so nice to have older cousins who turn the whole thing into a game and help the little ones! After lunch, we watched the last session of Conference. I have to say that I am excited to read the talks. If I sit and think really hard, I can remember talks that stuck out to me...but my kids were loud this Conference (being overloaded on candy probably didn't help them much) so I felt like watching Conference was a lot like Sacrament Meeting is for us. I heard about 25% of what was said. I was talking to Pam about that and she (who has 11 kids) said she remembers those days...but now, even if her kids might be falling asleep...they are all sitting together and able to really listen. There's a time and a season for everyting right!? Anyhow! We had a good weekend. My mom even did my toenails! She's so good to me! Hope you all had a great Easter! These pictures are uploaded really wierd...and I can't fix them for some reason!
